ca. 769. Countess of Tours. Noblewoman, matron, and patroness. Associated by name with the commission of the Niedermünster Cross. Aba (or Ava) was the wife of Hugh (or Hugo) of Tours, a wealthy knight from the Duchy of Burgundy. Hugo was favored in the court of Charlemagne.
